NAZRAN, March 30 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan regional judo team delivered an impressive performance at the All-Russian Tournament for the Prizes of Olympic Champion Khasan Khalmurzaev, returning home with seven medals in the under-23 category. The competition, held in Nazran, drew more than 150 judo athletes representing 14 regions across the Russian Federation, making it one of the most competitive youth events on the national calendar.
Dagestani judoka secured two silver and five bronze medals across various weight categories. Sirazh Nurmagomedov (66 kg) and Aminat Gadzhieva (63 kg) claimed silver medals after hard-fought finals. The bronze medalists included Magomedrasul Nutsalkhanov (81 kg), Kamil Magomednabiev (90 kg), Abdulkadir Umakhanov (100 kg+), Khadijat Dzhabrailova (52 kg) and Nina Alieva (70 kg).
The tournament, named after Olympic Champion Khasan Khalmurzaev, continues to serve as an important platform for developing young talents in Russian judo, with many participants expected to advance to senior-level competition in coming years.
