MAKHACHKALA, November 5 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestani athlete Magomedarif Mirzaev has won a silver medal at the World Traditional Archery Championship held in Ulsan, South Korea. The competition featured over 700 athletes from 38 countries.
Mirzaev competed as part of the Russian team, which was led by Dagestani specialist Dzhamal Makhtibekov. It is worth noting that last year, the Dagestani became the world champion in the "Korean" distance of 145 meters.
During the championship, the General Assembly of the World Traditional Archery Federation (WTAF) was held. Dzhamal Makhtibekov represented Russia and, following the meeting, was elected head of the organization's marketing and media department.
