NOVOSIBIRSK, August 17 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan archery team, led by head coach Dzhamal Makhtibekov, returned from the Russian 3D Archery Cup Final in Novosibirsk with twelve medals.
The competition featured athletes from 23 regions who had successfully advanced through three qualifying stages held earlier this year. Preliminary rounds took place at Novosibirsk Region State Snowboarding School before the finals moved to the Siberia Arena for televised matches.
In mixed team events, Murad Abdurashidov won gold in recurve while Aliaskhab Asadulaev and Altunai Elmurzaeva claimed silver. Shamil Khasbulatov with Zarema Ubardinova took bronze in longbow.
Individual titles were claimed by Khasbulatov in longbow and Abdurashidov in recurve, with Ubardinova and Asadulaev securing silver medals in their respective categories.
Sakhratula Magomedov, Asadulaev and Khasbulatov also won silver in open team events as the squad now prepares for future national and international competitions.
