MAKHACHKALA, September 26 – RIA Dagestan. Cheerav Ashalaev has claimed a gold medal in the under-80 kg division at the European Boxing Championship, wrapping up a highly successful tournament in Sofia.
Dagestani fighter navigated a challenging five-bout bracket to reach the summit, successively defeating representatives from Albania, Croatia, Poland, England and Serbia. Securing the top spot on the podium represents a major breakthrough for Ashalaev, bringing him the first European Championship title in his career.
