MAKHACHKALA, August 11 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestani boxers Islam Magomedov and Temirsultan Temirsultanov have been selected for the Russian junior national team competing at the European Championships in Loznica, Serbia, scheduled for August 12 - 22. Magomedov will contest the under-55 kg weight class, while Temirsultanov competes in the under-90 kg category.
According to Alexander Lukyanov, senior coach of the junior national team, this event represents the squad's first competition under the international World Boxing organization. “The athletes went through an intensive and thorough training session, are in peak physical shape and are exclusively focused on winning” – Lukyanov said.
