MAKHACHKALA, March 16 – RIA Dagestan. Nine Dagestani athletes will compete at the Russian Youth Darts Championship, scheduled to begin on March 25 in Tolyatti. The delegation consists primarily of students of Makhachkala Secondary School No. 54, which has emerged as a regional center for youth darts development in the Northern Caucasus.
The young athletes gained their qualification through strong performances at the North Caucasian Federal District Youth Championship, where School No. 54 students secured a total of 12 medals—two gold (won by Yasmina Bekmurzaeva and Aminat Tuilakova), five silver and five bronze.
Preparations for the national championship are coordinated by coach-instructors Jamil Salimov and Firdusi Kasimov from the Republican Children and Youth Sports School under the Ministry of Education and Science of Dagestan. The team's participation reflects the expanding presence of darts as a youth sport in the republic and the school's established role in developing competitors in the discipline.
