Kislovodsk, Stavropol region, March 5, 2015. Dagestani MMA fighters won medals of the international tournament held on February 28-March 1 in Kislovodsk, Stavropol region, athletes’ coach world-class MMA athlete Badavi Gassanov told RIA Dagestan.
The Russian team here was represented by 30 Dagestani athletes in the age categories of 8-11, 12-15, 16-18, and +19. Five Dagestan natives placed the podium.
Magomedali Ramazanov from Novokuli village, Novolak region, (16-18 years, 80 kg) won three fights straight and placed first. He qualified for the MMA world championships scheduled to run this spring in Russia.
Akhmed Ramazanov from Chapaevo village (9-11 years, 30 kg), Rustam Abdullayev from Novokuli village (+19, 77 kg) and Magomed Alishayev from Charavali village (+19 years, absolute weight) had 3 bouts each winning 2 of them, thus finishing the second. Magomed Bilalov from Kuli village (84 kg) finally placed third. All the medalists represent Makhachkala’s Novolac sports club.
