ANTALYA, April 19 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestani freestyle wrestlers emerged as the top performers at the international "International Champions" tournament held in Antalya, Turkey, securing victory in two weight categories. Gold medals were claimed by:
Magomed Magomedov (57 kg);
Ismail Khaniyev (79 kg).
In the final matches, both Dagestani athletes faced fellow countrymen in all-Dagestani showdowns. Magomedov defeated Tunday Verdiev to claim the top spot in the 57 kg division, while Khaniyev proved stronger than Khizir Khudigov in the 79 kg final.
