PAKS, July 13 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestani judoka Abdula Suleymanov claimed the gold medal at the European Judo Cup in Paks, Hungary, competing in the under-21 category up to 90 kg. According to the republican Ministry of Sports, he defeated opponents from Serbia, Hungary and the Netherlands en route to victory. This triumph secured him a spot in the Russian national team for the upcoming European Championship. A former cadet world champion, Suleymanov is coached by Ruslan Gamzatov.
