MAKHACHKALA, November 5 – RIA Dagestan. A delegation of judokas from the Republic of Dagestan achieved remarkable success at the Russian Cup in judo for athletes with visual impairments, recently held in Barnaul.
The national competition brought together 64 athletes representing 11 regions of the Russian Federation. Competing at the highest level of adaptive sports, Dagestani team delivered an outstanding performance, securing a total of eight medals.
Aminat Omarova claimed a gold medal, demonstrating exceptional skill and determination. The silver medals were awarded to Bariyat Radzhabova, Khadijat Aliyeva, Ilyas Magomedov, Magomed Suleymanov and Abdula Omarov. Additionally, Elmurad Mikailov and Murad Makhmudov have become bronze medal winners, rounding out a highly successful campaign for the republic.
