ASTANA, May 15 – RIA "Dagestan". Four athletes from Dagestan Federation of Sports for the Blind, competing as part of the Russian national judo team, became medalists at the IBSA Grand Prix international judo competition held in Astana.
Magomedkhabib Saaduev won the gold medal in the 95 kg weight category (G2). Bronze medals were awarded to Shakhban Kurbanov in the 81 kg category (G2), Magomedzakir Magomedov in the 70 kg category (G1) and Saado Abdurakhmanov in the 81 kg category (G2).
The athletes were prepared by coaches Nukh Salikhov, Khamzat Gadzhiev and Akhmed Gazimagomedov. The successful performance underscores Dagestan's continued leadership in developing adaptive sports talent and reinforces the republic's strong tradition of excellence in judo across all competitive categories.
