MAKHACHKALA, July 17 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan youth weightlifting team, comprising 19 athletes coached by Elmurzaev, Temirbekov, Nazirov, Zakaryaev, Biybolatov and Aliev, heads to Moscow for the "Path to Olympus" tournament (July 23–26). Mansur Elmurzaev noted that only host city Moscow is expected to field a similarly large team. Notably, 10-year-old Amina Migadova (trainee of Nazirov) will make history as the youngest female lifter ever to represent Dagestan at this event; she turns 11 next month.
Success at this competition is widely regarded as a key pathway to earning spots on the national youth championship roster.
