MAKHACHKALA, June 10 – RIA Dagestan. Said Saidulov took silver at the World Student Freestyle Wrestling Championship being held in Brazil's capital. The Dagestani placed second in the 79 kg weight class, which featured a round-robin format across two groups.
He won three matches on the way to the final under the guidance of coach Makhmud Magomedov. In the final, he wrestled Adel Panahian of Iran to a 4-4 draw, but the Iranian was awarded the win on the last scoring action, with an extra point added after an unsuccessful challenge from the Russian bench.
Saidulov is a trainee at Dagestan State Pedagogical University and an athlete at the Sh. Umakhanov Olympic Reserve Sports School.
