Dzhambulat Ismailov has won a gold medal at the North Caucasus Federal District Fencing Championship held in Vladikavkaz. His rivals, fencers from Stavropol Krai and North Ossetia-Alania, came in second and third place, respectively. Ismailov's performance also earned him a bronze medal in the regional championship held in the capital of Ossetia. The young athlete was coached by his father and mentor, Dzhabrail Ismailov.
