MAKHACHKALA, July 28 – RIA "Dagestan". The Russian national team for the European Weightlifting Championships in Pristina (August 20–27) features five athletes from Dagestan competing in the youth under-15 and under-17 divisions. Announced today, the squad comprises Rasul Shiraev (up to 65 kg), Baibulat Nazirov and Sharaputdin Iziev (both up to 75 kg), Abdullah Elmurzaev (up to 85 kg) and Izamutdin Abdulaev (up to 95 kg). These weightlifters will represent Russia at the continental tournament in Kosovo.
