MAKHACHKALA, June 5 – RIA Dagestan. Aliasakhab Ramazanov has claimed a bronze medal at an international ranking para-taekwondo tournament in Rome. The competition featured top-ranked athletes from around the world. Ramazanov took part in the over 80 kg category. An injury forced the Dagestani competitor to retire from the semifinal, resulting in a bronze-medal finish.
Paralympic champion Matt Bush from Great Britain won the tournament. Paralympic gold medalist Azadbek Tashtemirov from Uzbekistan took silver. Aliasakhab Ramazanov is a Paralympic Games finalist, world champion and three-time European champion. In the coming days, he will compete in the next ranking tournament, to be held in Germany.
