KASPIYSK, April 20 – RIA Dagestan. Representatives of seven countries have confirmed their participation in the international Greco-Roman wrestling tournament dedicated to the memory of Surakat Asiyatilov, a prominent Dagestan statesman.
The competition is scheduled to take place on May 12–13 in Kaspiysk in the Ali Aliev Sports Palace, a premier venue for wrestling events across the Northern Caucasus. Apart from Russian athletes, wrestlers from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey are expected to participate.
Medal sets will be contested across 10 weight categories, promising intense competition and high-level athletic performances. The tournament serves as an important preparatory stage for athletes ahead of upcoming national championships and international qualifying events.
