MAKHACHKALA, August 4 – RIA "Dagestan". Zabit Magomedsharipov and active UFC competitor Youssef Zalal are scheduled to headline the ACB JJ 22 grappling tournament in Istanbul on August 30.
Magomedsharipov returns after a hiatus dating back to his 2019 UFC win against Calvin Kattar in Moscow. For Zalal, who suffered a split-decision loss to Aljamain Sterling in April that ended a five-fight winning streak, this represents a rare opportunity to compete under pure jiu-jitsu rules.
Former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad will meet Kerim Engizek in the co-main event.
