The first charter flight from Tehran (capital of Iran) has landed in Makhachkala airport. The flight was performed within the framework of the North-South international transport corridor (ITC).
According to Andrei Tanaev, the representative of Dagestan government in Iran, the flight will be operated once a week for the next two months on the An-26 aircraft - a small passenger aircraft with a capacity of up to 30 people - to transport both passengers and mail.
The first flight Tehran - Makhachkala - Tehran arrived with a large, more than 20 people, high-ranking Iranian delegation, which will discuss the development of maritime communication with Dagestan authorities, participation in the development of the port of Makhachkala and other issues.
