Dagestan has become one of the leaders among Russian regions in terms of commissioning of private housing built by the local residents. In January-March 2023, 1.3 million square meters of housing were commissioned. The largest volume of housing commissioned by the local residents among Russian regions during this period was recorded in Moscow region (3.1 million square meters), Tatarstan (1.5 million) and Krasnodar Krai (1.4 million).

Overall, housing starts in Russia remained relatively stable over the past four months, increasing by only 1.6% year-on-year. However, the volume of individual housing construction grew by 20%, indicating a positive trend in the housing market. Last year, residential construction output reached a record high of 59 million square meters in Russia, a significant increase from previous years.
