The Republic of Dagestan becomes one of the key destinations for increased tourist demand in the coming summer season of 2025, Maxim Reshetnikov, Russia’s Minister of Economic Development says.

Based on Reshetnikov's estimates, 48 million domestic trips are expected to take place this summer in Russia, representing a 3.6% increase compared to the previous year. Among the regions that are projected to experience significant growth in tourism are Dagestan, Buryatia, Crimea, Altai Republic, Nizhny Novgorod region and Bashkiria. These regions have seen a notable increase in hotel bookings.

By 2024, Dagestan is anticipated to attract 1.85 million visitors, marking a 5.7% increase compared to 2024. Dagestan Ministry of Tourism attributes this positive trend to ongoing efforts to develop tourism infrastructure and government support for the industry's growth.
