The Republic of Dagestan is one of the Russian regions that may experience a significant increase in tourist traffic this summer. According to estimates, approximately 48 million travel trips are projected to be undertaken within the country during the summer season, representing an increase of 3.6 million compared to 2024.

Apart from Dagestan, there are several other regions with considerable tourism potential -Buryatia, Crimea, Altai Krai, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and Bashkortostan.

By 2025, it is projected that 1.85 million tourists will visit the region, marking a 5.7% growth from the previous year. Dagestan Ministry of Tourism attributes this positive development to various factors, including infrastructure improvement, enhancement of services and sustained government support for the tourism sector.

The region remains committed to improving accessibility to tourist destinations, establishing new travel routes and attracting investment in the tourism industry.
