Dagestan viticulture industry is projected to experience substantial growth. The regional nurseries aim to produce approximately 8 million grape seedlings by 2025, representing a 42.9% increase compared to 2024. This ambitious target, according to the Committee on Viticulture and Alcohol Regulation, signifies a crucial advancement for the sector.

In 2024, over 5.6 million seedlings were certified in Dagestan. The republican branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution ‘Russian Agricultural Centre’ (institution providing state services in the field of crop production) meticulously oversees quality control and coordination throughout the entire production process, with specialists conducting regular site inspections at nurseries.

This surge in seedling production has enabled Dagestan nursery operators to expand their market reach, supplying grapevines to other prominent viticultural areas within Russia. Notably, significant quantities were dispatched to Crimea in 2024, with an additional half a million seedlings delivered to Krasnodar Territory.
