Daniil Putyatin visits land reclamation sites in Southern Dagestan

Makhachkala, May 22, 2015. On May 21 Daniil Putyatin, the head of the Land Reclamation Department of the Russian Agriculture Ministry visited several land reclamation sites in the southern Dagestan within his working visit to the republic.
Having inspected the objects, the federal official in an interview with the representatives of regional media noted that the main objective of his arrival to the republic was the scheduled inspection of the hydro economic facilities reconstructed in near past. In particular, the Samur-Derbent canal in the town of Dagestanskie Ogny and Derbent district as well as the October Revolution canal in Makhachkala.
According to Putiyatin, all works are executed within the program “The development and reclamation of agricultural lands in Russia for 2014-2020." "After the reconstruction, the situation has radically changed for the better. For example in Dagestanskie Ogny, the canal environment became clean and safe. Agricultural water supply support has also improved. All these facts show that we have succeeded jointly in executing a huge amount of work in Dagestan ", - the head of Land Reclamation Department pointed out.
Putiyatin expressed his gratitude to the head of the State Organization “Minmeliovodhoz RD” Zalkip Kurbanov for a comprehensive approach to anti-flood measures and reconstruction of irrigation system, and praised the work of the Regional Office.
Speaking about the investments and extra-budgetary funding of reclamation works, Putyatin noted that the Russian Ministry of Agriculture approved and unified approach procedure for calculating the water transportation from the water source to the water intake structure payable
