In Dagestan, there are five companies engaged in the development of ethnic tourism. These include five wineries that conduct tours with tastings of their products, such as Derbent Brandy Factory, Kizlyar Brandy Factory, Derbent Vino, Derbent Sparkling Wine Factory, and Izberbash Brandy Factory.

Additionally, small private wineries organize tours as well. For example, the family business Gerey-Tuz, which has been growing grapes for over 30 years and recently started producing wine, has opened a tasting room and begun receiving tourists on tours of their farm since 2022. As to Shakhmurad Kanzitdinov, the commercial director of Agrofirma Gerey-Tyuz LLC, the company receive approx. 1 thousand guests every year.

It is also noted that the management of Derbent Wine Company announced plans to invest 200 million rubles over the next five years in the expansion of this business.
