Amet-Khan Sultan International Airport of Makhachkala summarized results of work for July 2024. The passenger traffic amounted to 363,030 people, which is 8.3% more than in the same period of 2023. The number of take-offs and landings increased by 5.6% to 2,647. Besides, 388.8 tons of freight and mail were handled, an increase of 17.2% over the previous year.

The most popular domestic destinations were Moscow, St. Petersburg, Surgut, Kazan and Novosibirsk. The most popular international destinations were Istanbul, Dubai, Antalya, Baku and Tashkent. Pobeda, Severny Vet and Aeroflot airlines were the main contributors to the growth in passenger traffic.

In general, Makhachkala airport has one of the highest passenger traffic dynamics indicators both in the North Caucasian Federal District and in the country as a whole continuing to expand its route network.
