The Chairman of Dagestan Government Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov and the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov in Tashkent discussed issues of expanding cooperation and prospects of opening a joint venture in the textile industry.

"A proposal for cooperation in the textile industry was made" - the press service of Dagestani government reports.

The textile and clothing industry plays an important role in the economy of Uzbekistan. As to Abdulmuslimov, in recent years the republic has gone from a raw materials base to one of the main exporters of quality textiles.

"Given the existing opportunities in Dagestan and the existing support measures, we see good prospects for the establishment of a joint venture," Abdulmuslimov is quoted as saying.
