Shamil Tulparov has won a gold medal at the Russian Powerlifting Championship in Yekaterinburg. The press service of the Republic's Ministry of Sports reports that the Dagestani powerlifter was the best among veterans in the 74 kg. weight category. Tulpanov is also the head of the regional powerlifting federation. The competitions are qualifiers for the European and World Championships.
