On May 26, the Chairman of Dagestan Government Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov met with the Khokim (Head) of Namangan region of Uzbekistan Shavkatjon Abdurazakov within the framework of a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation in light and processing industry. An agreement on cooperation between the two regions will be signed tomorrow. During the meeting the main plans for its implementation were discussed.

Separately, the officials discussed cooperation in the field of sports. Shavkatjon Abdurazakov proposed holding master classes with Dagestani athletes for local youth. The Prime Minister of Dagestan made several proposals regarding attracting residents to preferential areas located on the territories of both parties and organizing direct and reciprocal business missions to Uzbekistan and Dagestan.

Besides, Abdulmuslimov invited Abdurazakov to participate in the International Business Day in the Republic of Dagestan, which is planned to be celebrated in September 2024.
