Statisticians have calculated the share of residents in each region whose salaries exceed the national average. According to the latest data, the average salary in the country is RUB 86.5 thousand (approx. USD 960) per month in the second quarter of 2024.

Thus, according to the survey, more than 9.7% of workers in Dagestan earn more than this amount. On average, every third Russian worker earns more than this sum.

Traditionally, the regions of the Far North are the leaders. For example, in Yamal almost 66% of the working population receives more than RUB 86 thousand. The outsider is Ingushetia with only 6.6% of local residents receiving a monthly salary that exceeds the Russian average.
