The inter-university hackathon “IT Breakthrough” has been in Dagestan State University (DSU) with over 100 participants divided into 13 teams. This event aligns with the objectives set forth in the national project «Digital Economy».
For two days, students and schoolchildren attended educational lectures on IT technologies and participated in a competition of digital projects. The competition was held in two categories: a charity project sponsored by the Insan Foundation and applied projects, such as an online platform for organizing travel in Dagestan and an app for selling farm products.
Teams of participants developed projects, created websites and online services, which they presented to a jury. The application developed by the SyntaxError team from Dagestan State University was recognized as the best. The team from Dagestan Technical University came second, while another team from Dagestan State University received a bronze medal.
The Digital Economy national project is aimed at accelerating the introduction of digital technologies in the economy and social sphere, creating conditions for high-tech business, increasing the country's competitiveness in the global market, strengthening national security and improving the quality of life of people. The national projects have been implemented under the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin since 2019.
