On September 3, the conference hall of the House of Friendship hosted the International Theological Conference on "International experience in strengthening the unity of the Muslims, modern forms and methods" with the participation of members of the International Union for Muslim Scholars.

The distinguished guests, the reputable scholars from Arab countries such as Doctor of Sharia Sciences, Philosophy, Professor Muhammad Mustafa al-Zuhayli, Doctor of Sharia Sciences, the preacher of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD ) Usman Umar Muhammad, the professor, vice-rector of Al-Azhar University in Egypt, Muhammad Mahmud Ahmad Hashim, Ph.D. in Quran studying, Adviser to the Minister of Waqf  (inalienable endowment for charity) and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait, Usman Ahmad Abdulrahim arrived in Dagestan for participation in the conference.

At the beginning of his speech, the vice-rector of Al-Azhar University Muhammad Mahmoud Ahmed Hashim expressed his gratitude to the Government and the Mufti of the Republic of Dagestan for the organization of theological conference and a hearty welcome. Then Ahmed Hashim pointed out that similar events in such tumultuous times had an immense significance.

The Muslim scientist started his preaching with the fact that in recent times the Muslim Ummah faced certain difficulties because of the people who tried to justify mass murder and terrorism in the name of Islam.

As to the vice-rector, the traditional Islam in reality is far from murder. Besides, the speaker drew attention to the fact that many false preachers render certain decisions, declaring them to the public as the Sharia rules.

"They do not base on the Sharia arguments and they do not make agree with the true teachings of Islam, - Mahmoud Ahmad Hashim said. - They forgot that in fact Islam is a religion of forgiveness, assistance, understanding and mutual support. Therefore, we urge all those who make fatwah, need to know the meaning of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), as well as to know how such decisions are taken, based on the Quran and the Sunnah. Also, this person must be proficient in the Arabic language."

Usman Ahmad Abdulrahim, Ph.D. in Quran studying, Adviser to the Minister of Waqf revealed the theme of the jihad and its significance through Fiqh basis.

"Those people who go beyond the law and become terrorists in Syria and Libya are called jihadists. In fact, what is happening there, stands very far from the meaning of jihad. The murder of a Muslim by another - this is not jihad. Jihad is when Muslims defend their homeland against aggressor. What happens there has nothing to do with Islam"- Usman Ahmed said.

At the end of the conference, the participants traditionally adopted a resolution. The RIA "Dagestan" will publish it on the website in the nearest future.
