The level of the Caspian Sea near Makhachkala reached a critically low point, the press service of the region's Emergency Situations Ministry reports. "The sea level at 09:00 on 6 February was minus 100 cm," the Ministry officer specifies. Due to the strong wind, there was a water runoff - a phenomenon in which the wind blows with such force that pushes the water boundary deep into the sea.
