Akhmed Tajudinov (Dagestan native) has been recognized as the best freestyle wrestler in the world at the end of the season. The results were summarized by the international sports federation "United World of Wrestling" (UWW).

Tajudinov is 20 years old. This year he won the World Championship for the first time in his sporting career as a member of Bahrain national team and became the best debutante of these competitions. Tajudinov also excelled at the Asian Championships and Asian Games this season, as well as won a number of other high-profile tournaments.
