Daniyal Agaev won a gold medal at the European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship for juniors under 23 in Baku. Dagestani wrestler won in the 67 kg category. In the final he defeated Azat Sariyar from Turkey 11-1. Agayev is a trainee of coach Magomed Askhabov and trains at the Greco-Roman wrestling school in Makhachkala.
