In 2023 Dagestan increased the fruit and vegetables processing volume by 32% compared to the last year indices.
It is noted that last year's harvest was at the level of 5 thousand tons. Thus, in the current year, this indicator may grow by 10%.
Dagestan plans to harvest 140,000 tons of rice in 2023. The local farmers sowed 180 ha out of the 260 ha planned. Sprouts appeared on 70 hectares.
It is planned that this will be a pilot project which will last for two years.

Thanks to this, for present we harvest about 130-135 thousand tons of rice in the republic.
In last years 4 factories on rice processing with a total capacity of more than 200 tons per shift were put into exploitation.
