The regional construction companies in Dagestan face an acute shortage of professionals, Ali Shabanov, the president of the Guild of Builders of the North Caucasian Federal District says.

According to Shabanov, in 2023, the shortage of personnel in the construction industry increased by 36% compared to the previous year, making it one of the leading industries in terms of lack of specialists.

Concrete, reinforcement and monolithic workers are in short supply, as well as finishers, welders and bricklayers. Event utility workers are also currently in short supply. As it turns out, in Dagestan, 12 colleges produced only 305 graduates for construction and architecture sectors in 2023. Despite this, the employment situation remains unsatisfactory.
