During his visit to Azerbaijan, Zaur Askenderov, the Chairman of the People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan, visited the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo (Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation). He learned about the office's activities in the country.

Accompanied by the Head of the Representative Office, Irek Zinnurov, he toured exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of liberation of Crimea during the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition showcased the feat of Azerbaijani natives and soldiers of the 77th Rifle Division, as well as the role of the Cossacks in guarding the borders of the Fatherland.

Askenderov thanked the head of the representative office for the hearty welcome. He noted the importance of the organization's work in strengthening friendship between the two nations through the implementation of educational and cultural programs.

Zaur Askenderov emphasized the importance of forming an objective perception of Azerbaijan's role and place in world history and in the international arena, particularly in the cultural and humanitarian direction. After visiting the exhibition Askenderov met with children studying Russian at the Russian House.
