MAKHACHKALA, March 27 – RIA Dagestan. In 2026, the Peasant Farm Enterprise "Barakat" in the village of Babayurt will launch a large-scale investment project focused on cattle slaughter and meat processing.
The production complex will include a cattle slaughter line with a capacity of up to 100 head per shift, alongside a facility dedicated to deep meat processing. Total investment in the project is estimated at RUB 350 million.
The initiative is projected to generate 48 new employment opportunities for local residents, providing a tangible boost to household incomes and community stability. Officials have characterized the project as a strategic milestone in advancing Dagestan's food processing industry—a sector poised to drive sustainable economic growth, reduce reliance on external suppliers and reinforce the republican agricultural self-sufficiency.
