MOSCOW, June 8 – RIA Dagestan. Garun Agatsarsky, an aphorist from Dagestan, has been shortlisted for the "Aphorist of the Year – 2026" annual All-Russian literary award. The announcement was made on June 5 at the "Red Square" book festival in Moscow by Sergey Sidorov, Chairman of the "SOCRATES" Commonwealth.
According to Komsomolskaya Pravda, six authors reached the finals: Garun Agatsarsky, Sergey Bersenev, Valery Vdovin, Alexey Goldobin, Sergey Kozlov and Valery Rumyantsev. The award ceremony will take place in the Central House of Artists in December.
One of the permanent jury members is former Head of Dagestan, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences and Professor Ramazan Abdulatipov. The "SOCRATES" Commonwealth of Aphorism Authors and Small Literary Forms established the award in 2022 and it has been conferred annually since.
A resident of Makhachkala, Garun Agatsarsky is one of the most quoted Dagestanis on the Runet, the author of the collection of life wisdom "Dagger of the Mind" and other books on local history and a member of the Moscow Aphorism Club.
