Dagestani Actor Kerim Magomedov Wins “Artistic Word” Category at “Victory Is One for All!” Festival

At the recent “Victory Is One for All!” festival in St. Petersburg, Dagestani theater and film actor Kerim Magomedov took the first prize in the “Artistic Word” competition. The festival, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, was organized by the State Memorial Museum of the Defense and Siege of Leningrad to honor the shared memory of all who fought for the Motherland.

Magomedov, Honored artist at St. Petersburg Operetta Theatre, is widely recognized for his talent and civic commitment. He has authored and performed a series of notable monodramas, such as “The Tree of Life” and “Ode to ‘the Homer of the 20th Century” drawing inspiration from the works of Dagestan’s literary masters, including Rasul Gamzatov and Effendi Kapiev. His efforts to preserve and promote Dagestani culture have earned him official commendations from the Republic of Dagestan and the city of St. Petersburg.
