MAKHACHKALA, May 17 – RIA "Dagestan". The "Night of Museums" event in Dagestan, held under the "Native/Homeland" initiative and timed to coincide with the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, has become a vibrant celebration of traditions and intercultural dialogue.
Throughout the region, museums and ethnic cultural centers featured folk performances and craft workshops in carpet weaving, embroidery, and leatherwork, where guests could try on traditional costumes and delve into local history.
With over 24,000 visitors, the event spread across all areas of Dagestan. The initiative successfully presented the republic's rich cultural heritage, encouraged community engagement and strengthened bonds among the region's diverse ethnic groups.
