MOSCOW, November 2 – RIA Dagestan. Dmitry Shatunov, a member of the State Duma Committee on Digital Development and Artificial Intelligence has called on the management of Yandex Music and VK to introduce labeling for works created using AI, and to place fully AI-generated compositions into separate charts and recommendation playlists.
The parliamentarian proposes to oblige all music platforms not only to introduce transparent labeling of AI-generated tracks, but also to completely separate generated music from human creativity by placing it in separate charts and special playlists.
According to Shatunov, it is becoming increasingly difficult for listeners to distinguish works by human authors from those created by neural networks. The young Russian musicians risk getting lost in the flood of content and losing opportunities for promotion.
The deputy insists on systemic approach while some platforms are already implementing labeling for AI-generated compositions. In his opinion, the measures proposed will increase the transparency of music content and expand opportunities for promoting Russian artists.
