MAKHACHKALA, March 18 – RIA Dagestan. Sergei Melikov, Head of Dagestan and Veronika Nikishina, Director General of the Russian Export Center (REC), have signed a cooperation agreement. The ceremony took place in Moscow. The document outlines collaboration between the parties on enhancing the republic's export potential and developing state support measures for local producers.
Veronika Nikishina noted the region's activities in this direction. She indicated that in 2025, the Center reportedly provided over 150 services to 84 companies from Dagestan and suggested that the scope of support may expand following the agreement signing. Sergei Melikov referenced the republic's capacities in industry, agriculture and tourism, as well as its geographical position within the "North-South" international transport corridor.
The regional governor recalled that Dagestan successfully met the targets of the national project "International Cooperation and Export" last year. The new agreement also provides for the promotion of the national "Made in Russia" brand and an increase in the number of local companies undergone voluntary certification.
