The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan has completed the application phase for grants subsidizing scientific and technical projects in agriculture. A large-scale project from the branch of the Federal Agrarian Scientific Center across Dagestan titled “Improving Breeding and Productive Traits of Sheep Breeds Adapted to the Republic of Dagestan Through Selective and Genetic Research Methods” is among the initiatives approved.
The project received high praise from the evaluation committee, chaired by First Deputy Minister Sharip Sharipov, who commended its relevance, scientific innovation, and strong practical applicability. Its implementation is expected to make a significant contribution to the advancement of pedigree sheep farming in the republic, strengthen Dagestan’s agro-scientific capabilities and enhance the overall efficiency of livestock production.
