MAKHACHKALA, February 19 – RIA “Dagestan”. The Prime Minister of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov reviewed a report from Dagmeliorovodkhoz Director Magomed Yusupov on the agency's 2025 outcomes and upcoming plans for modernizing reclamation infrastructure. The 2025–2030 development program prioritizes the reconstruction of two major irrigation systems: Staro-Terechnaya in Kizlyarsky District and Talovskaya spanning Kizlyarsky and Tarumovsky districts.
Design and survey activities commenced in 2025, with state expert review scheduled for 2026 to advance construction. Upon completion, the upgraded systems will expand the area of serviced irrigated land to 69,400 hectares. The projects are financed with RUB 4.2 billion allocated through an agreement between the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and the regional government.
