Dagestan to be presented at international tourism exhibitions in Moscow

Makhachkala, March 10, 2016. The Minister for Tourism and Folk Crafts of the Republic of Dagestan Magomed Isayev has recently chaired a preparation meeting for the participation in the XI International Tourism Exhibition "ITM" and the XXIII Moscow International Exhibition "Travel and Tourism" to be held March 19-22, in "Crocus Expo", and March 23-26, in "Expocentre" respectively, the ministry press service reports.
At present, the republican enterprises are getting prepared for participation in the events. They will get a good opportunity to position their products: tourist offers, advertising and information leaflets, price lists, flyers, etc. The Minister Magomed Isayev presented souvenirs of folk crafts to the organizing committee. They will supposedly be shown to potential tourists and travel agents. Among them, there are Untsukul products, Hiv carpets, Kubachi jewelry, Balhar pottery and Gotsatl handicrafts.
Apart from the folk crafts exhibition, a series of workshops given by Dagestani craftsmen will be conducted to demonstrate the visitors how much effort one needs to create a rug or ceramics. Magomed Isayev evaluated the work done, noting that the exposition of the Republic of Dagestan should be rich and diverse.
It should be noted that the international exhibition "ITM" – is one of the largest ones aimed at promotion of domestic tourism products. Traditionally, the exhibition involves all regions of Russia, many countries of the world, which are at their stands present the promising tourist routes, ethno-cultural, historical and natural expositions, crafts and more. The republican Ministry for Tourism and Folk Crafts of the Republic of Dagestan is a regular participant of the exhibition.
This year several round tables on the topics "Integration of developments in tourism product", "The railway tourism development", "Real Russia" , "The basic trends in contemporary development of tourist souvenirs" and Anna Gladun’s seminar on "Legal security in various types of tourism" will be held within the framework of the exhibition.
