The new Derbent Solar Power Plant will be the largest in the country in 2025. 305 hectares of land have been allocated for the project. The power plant will have a capacity of 100 MW. The investment volume totals RUB 6.2 billion.

The plant will be commissioned in 2024. The project will create 25 permanent jobs and up to 200 during the construction period, as well as RUB 60 million in annual tax revenues. As to the republican Energy Minister Marat Shikhaliyev, Dagestan is one of the most promising regions in Russia. The renewable energy industry can be developed and mastered on the territory of the region.
