Dagestan Puppet Theatre successfully performs at 11th international festival in Turkey

Makhachkala, May 6, 2015. Dagestan State Puppet Theatre performed successfully at the 11th international festival "Little ladies, little gentlemen" which took place April 23-29 in Turkey, a source in the theatre told RIA Dagestan.
In Turkey, they celebrate the National Sovereignty Day and the Children's Day on April 23 which translates into a truly unique holiday. In 2015, it was attended by art groups from 16 countries (Bulgaria, Switzerland, Norway, the Netherlands, France, Romania, Italy, Dagestan, Croatia, Slovenia and Turkey) that for 7 days were performing for the young audience of the country.
Dagestan State Puppet Theatre was the only team representing Russia in the international theater forum. Here, they presented "The Secret of the Peach Stone" - the play by Dagestani playwright Shakhrizat Mallaeva directed by Alexei Basov, a performance that had won recognition and love of audience in many international theater forums. More than a thousand children saw four performances by Dagestani theater in the two days of the festival.
For the show, Dagestan State Puppet Theatre was awarded a diploma with words recognition for the original art and talented performance by Dagestani puppeteers. The diploma is now placed in the museum of the theater.
In the follow-up of the international event, organizers published an illustrated book and released a CD with the best performances including the one by of Dagestani theater.
In the theater, they think that the festival proved to be a platform for new creative contacts and projects to be born to help the cultures of the peoples of the world unite and influence each other.
