Dagestan and India sign economic cooperation agreement

Moscow, April 2, 2015. Dagestan officials and representatives of the Indian business alliance, specifically established at the Indian Embassy to Russia, signed an agreement on economic cooperation at the Russian Chamber of Commerce in Moscow, the press service of Dagestan Mission at the Russian President told RIA Dagestan.

President of Dagestan Chamber of Commerce Badrutdin Magomedov said that Indian businessmen had long eyed the republic as a promising investment site.
"In recent years, Indian businessmen have showed a growing interest in Dagestan in terms of investment into the republic as for building pharmaceutical factories and elaborating joint training programs. Dagestan is also interested in India as a partner," Magomedov commented.

Dagestan delegation gave books and presented a documentary about the republic to their Indian colleagues. Deputy Dagestan minister of industry, trade and investment Gerei Aliyev invited the foreign businessmen to Dagestan.

"The Indian side promised to visit Dagestan soon. We expect them to come up with concrete proposals in the field of industry, medicine, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture,"- said the deputy minister.
In May Dagestan businessmen delegation will visit in India.
